Will this lift work for me, when nothing else has? Will it raise me high enough to stand (locking knees)? Is this covered under Medicare, Insurance, etc.? Will the lift interfere with the rest of the family's usage of the toilet? What if I transfer from a wheelchair? I can no longer get myself up from the toilet bowl - it is either too high or too low. I need to brace my legs or I will fall. How will this work for me? I have Caregiver assistance and it is very hard for them to try and lift me off the bowl. I would like to be able to return to work, but the toilet there is too low for me. Q: Will this lift work for me, when nothing else has? A: The Valette is designed to raise and lower right to the bowl, and returning you back to a standing position. The entire unit raises with you and can stop at any height required for you. We have been successful with Insurance, Vocational Rehab, as well as MDA paying for a portion of the cost. A letter from your doctor supporting this type of equipment is very beneficial. A: The Papi-Lift can assist Caregivers, as the lift can be raised to a maximum of 34 3/4 inches. The lift requirement depends on the person's height and the existing bowl height.
